The filled glycerine in the case offers steady pointer reading under vibrating conditions, lowers friction between moving parts i.e. low wear, even when submitted to high dynamic loads, no steaming up on the windows as there is no possibility of condensation inside the gauge and all such features offer operational ease and long life.
